Poem – “Valuable”

Valuable

An exodus without end
Where is the home I cannot find
Is it the landfill or the crater now?
The factory that churns sludge for gold
Nothing is really so valuable I would die for it
But the animals with platinum hands, thick cigars
They don’t care as long as it’s theirs in the end
