Poem – “And in the Meantime”

And in the Meantime

Dead spaces, old buildings bulging with ghosts
They waited for someone to notice,
But no one ever did

And in the meantime,
Strange chills touched our shoulders
Other eyes peeking at the book we’re reading
They’re still there, always
But we never really care
