“Blood Ballet” – Haiku II

[Note – Blood Ballet contains moderate dark content, such as violence, themes of depression, and imagery that may be sensitive or disturbing to some.]

11—
My hesitant trust
You steal always, you dissolve
Me like a fruit fly

12—
Rosin pool of shame
Autumnal drops of forest
The portal of roots

13—
Virginal thrombus
Untapped ecstasy, martyr
To core rot and spoil

14—
One-eyed angel egg
Splatters into pearlescent,
Malformed white fetus

15—
Skin gowns and hotels
Combustible nostalgia
Hear horses sing it

16—
The clock is ticking.
Was it worth the blood? Or is
It all down the drain?

17—
Glance of glyceride
Soulless as envy, slow and
Frigid as glacier

18—
Pus-filled wounds rupture
From love and their spillage spawns
Sweet mushrooms and ferns

19—
Heartstring concerto
Pleasure into the abyss
Blood-clouded waters

20—
Brothers I once loved
Undead with scalps of maggots
All dinge and corpse bloat
